Your piercing is open to infections during healing. Proper care is important to limit the risk of infection. Always wash your hands with antibacterial soap before touching your piercing or jewelry.

Your piercing should be cleaned twice a day during healing. Too frequent cleaning may irritate the piercing, so you should not clean it too often unless the piercing has been exposed to dirt, sweat or other body fluids.

In the shower, use PurSan (recommanded by your piercer).

Clean your piercing, soap for 3 minutes and rinse thoroughly. Do it once a day or two if you shower twice!

Use PurSan Softener 1 time daily and rinse after each use. PurSan is a manufactured product in Canada under the supervision of the Ministry of Health. This mild soap fights viruses and eliminates micro-bacteria without burning or irritating the skin. It is designed to revitalize, refresh and purify piercing and / or tattooing.

Do not let any cosmetics come into contact with your piercing, as this may cause irritation (Ex: lotion, perfume and makeup). If you swim in a pool, spa, lake or whirlpool, thoroughly clean your piercing after each swim. When healing is complete, you should wash the piercing once a day, in the shower with PurSan.
